This was disclosed by DPO Attock Captain Zafar Iqbal (Retd). He said that Attock Khurd Police during a checking signalled a car to stop but the driver tried to flee the scene but the police managed to stop it near Mansar camp. The thorough search led to the recovery of illegal weapons, including 14 rifles, 4200 rounds and 27 magazines from the secret cavities of the vehicle.
He said that the Attock police during campaign against illegal arms confiscated 83 lethal weapons, including 55 pistols, 12 revolvers, 10 rifles and one kalashanikov besides 4450 rounds and 87 magazines.
